My Birthday at the Botanical Gardens

I’M 29 YEARS OLD! I can’t believe I only have one year left in my 20’s — time really does fly when you’re having fun, huh? To celebrate this year, I just wanted to relax, get outdoors, and spend some quality time with Alex. We’ve been working so much lately and haven’t had a full day together in some time — so this was the perfect excuse to unplug and unwind.

We grabbed some coffees from Golden Boy Coffee Co in Denton but needed another one by the time we made it to Dallas. After a quick stop at Starbucks we were headed into the Botanical Gardens! It was a chilly morning, around 40º, and completely overcast. I couldn’t think of more perfect weather to stroll the pumpkin patch and admire their variety of gourds, pumpkins, squash, and all the beautiful colors of fall :)

The pumpkin patch was way bigger than I was expecting and because of the cold weather, there were only a few other families walking through. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! My favorite pumpkins were the grey-blue ones (seen above) — I’d…
